WIC

The Women, Infants, and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) provides free food and nutrition information to help keep pregnant women, infants, and children under five healthy and strong. Research has shown that women, infants, and children on WIC eat better and are healthier than those who do not participate in WIC.

You are eligible for WIC if you:
- Live in Massachusetts
- Are a pregnant, postpartum or breastfeeding woman, an infant, or child under five years of age
- Have a nutritional need
- Have a household income that meets our income guidelines. If you already receive TAFDC, food stamps, of MassHealth, you are probably eligible for WIC.

WIC provides healthy foods including milk, cheese, eggs, tuna, cereal, fruit juice, infant formula, peanut butter, dried beans and peas, and carrots. WIC clients also receive nutrition counseling, immunization tracking, and referrals to other health and social services. Worcester WIC, with our main site at FHCW, serves over 6400 clients from 10 towns and four sites in the Worcester area.
