The Development Associate will work with the Vice President of Development and Advancement to increase revenues and advance the mission of FHCW by writing grants, grant reports, and assisting with grant compliance as assigned, identifying grant opportunities, and conduct fundraising/marketing events, community outreach and public relations activities. The Development Associate will work closely with the Development team, program managers/coordinators, finance, Board of Directors, volunteers, funders (individual, corporate, state and private), interns and consultants and local community-based organizations. Bachelor’s degree in organizational communications, public health, or a closely related field required. An Associate’s degree and four years of closely relevant work experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree. A minimum of two years professional experience involving grant writing or fundraising/marketing communications is required. Three years experience in health or social service environment preferred. Strong business writing skills required (sample required). Experience with program development, and implementation, event planning, press releases, public announcements, website management preferred. Must have proven skills in Windows environment, MS Office Suite and internet operations. Experience with Adobe design software preferred.

Third Party Biller is responsible for processing payments and denials from one or more third party payors. Third Party Biller will produce electronic claims files and paper claims, submit claims to third party payors, process remittance advice’s, and resolve denied claims. In addition, he/she will identify trends related to claims payment and denials for actionable steps for the organization. The Third Party Biller facilitates improvements across the organization through inter/intra-department workgroups to correct system-based inefficiencies negatively impacting the revenue. The individual must be able to work in a fast paced office environment, facilitate a high level of customer satisfaction, and foster team-work across the organization. High school diploma required. Certificate or Associates degree in Medical Coding & Billing strongly preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education. This position is also responsible for performing “in-reach” and outreach activities that identify patients eligible for Coordinated Care services.
