William Witherell

Sunset, Grand Lake Stream, William Witherell

William Witherell, originally from Westboro, now divides his time between North Grafton, MA, and Venice, FL.  An economist, he spent 27 years in Paris, France, working at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and absorbing the great French art tradition which continues to inspire his work.  After returning to the U.S., he began painting in watercolors and acrylics, mainly of landscapes in New England, the west coast of Florida and France, focusing on the ever changing play of light and its effect on colors.  His art can be seen at the Westboro Art and Frame Emporium, the Westboro 1717 Shop, and at member shows in the Venice Florida Art Center.
