Lisa Barthelson grew up in a family of artists and began making art as a child. She currently works in multiple mediums, welcoming the challenge of transforming and re-composing household objects, personal cast offs or nature’s detritus in combination with traditional materials and methods. Lisa’s work has been exhibited throughout New England and in NY. She currently has eight ‘family debris’ pieces on exhibit in Domestic Affairs: Domesticity, Identity and the Home, Newport Art Museum’s Winter Exhibition featuring the work of 8 contemporary New England artists and on exhibit through May 6, 2018. Lisa works from her studio in Worcester and is an active member of the Blackstone Print Studio Cooperative.
