Seven Swans, Linda Lee Johnson

I became interested in art during my Michigan childhood, taking private lessons and high school courses.  After Michigan, I lived in five states—Arizona, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and Massachusetts. As a professor of English and education at the University of Iowa, I traveled all over the United States before and after living and traveling in Asia for a year. Upon retiring, I began painting again in 2004, taking many courses at Worcester Art Museum. Active in the Princeton Arts Society, I have won several awards for my figurative paintings.  My work has appeared in several juried shows. Most recently 37 of my paintings were displayed at Worcester’s Gallery of Briarwood in a one-woman show.
