Gloria Asselta-Sullivan’s approach to painting is uncomplicated. Her choice of subject matter is based solely on what she finds to be of visual interest. She is passionate about drawing and believes that all visual elements of painting, including color and light, play a subordinate role to it. Gloria taught painting and photography on the secondary level for 13 years in the Worcester Public Schools. Gloria is a graduate of UMass Boston, University of Illinois, Urbana, University of Texas, Austin and the Art Students League of NYC. Gloria has received several artist awards.
