Rhythm Makers, Benjamin Adwetewa-Badu

Benjamin Adwetewa-Badu is a Ghanaian-born American painter who works with acrylic and watercolor media. He received his Bachelors of Fine Art and Masters in Art Education at the College of Art, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.

Adwetewa-Badu states: “Art to me is a culmination of one’s past and present experiences, a vision into the future and an experimentation that creates artistic unity through tensions and harmonies.” His paintings are tapestries of juxtaposing colors which create a fluid and balanced order, an expressionistic fauvist style.

He teaches art in the Worcester Public Schools (South High Community School) and has exhibited his works throughout Massachusetts and Ghana.
